For many of us, being part of a church is a new or renewed experience. Below is a short guide to make joining in stress-free. I'm always available for questions or to help. We look forward to meeting you.

On Sundays — In Order of Arrival
Casual Dress
We're casual. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. There are no expectations on dress.
Easy Transportation and Plenty of Parking
The building where Covenant Church meets has plenty of parking. We also have storage space indoors for anyone arriving by bicycle. Train and bus stops are very close.
Delicious Food and Warm Fellowship
Before the service begins, we have delicious snacks, drinks, and coffee. If you can, arrive early. Arriving early is an opportunity for you to either make new friends or to sit and reflect on your heart before God.
Nursery & Activities for Children
Young children are invited to our nursery. The nursery is an open-glass room in the same room where the worship services take place, and is supervised by someone qualified and background-checked.
Older children are invited to stay in the worship service. They'll be provided an activity booklet and an opportunity to win a prize at the conclusion of the worship service. We love welcoming the whole family — from the youngest to the oldest.
Worship Services That Last Approximately 1 Hour
Morning Worship: 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM. The Covenant Church morning worship service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM and lasts for about an hour.
Evening Worship: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The evening worship service is a little less than an hour. This is a quieter opportunity to refocus our hearts and minds on the things of Jesus as we begin the new week.
Gospel-Centered Reformed Worship & Expository Preaching
It's with great joy that God's people in Covenant Church gather weekly on Sundays for worship. All of the events of the previous week — the prayer, the service ministries, the fellowship — come together in crescendo on Sundays as Covenant Church members, from their various locations across and beyond the San Fernando Valley, come together to celebrate what God has done for them in Jesus and what God is doing among them by His Holy Spirit.
The service itself is an exciting and structured opportunity for singing, confessing, preaching, praying, giving of time, talents, and treasures, and believers partaking of the Lord's Supper as we're reminded again of God's great love for His people.
The preaching is expository, meaning that the minister draws out the message from the verses of Scripture.
Singing Psalms and Hymns
Covenant Church sings Psalms from the Bible that have been set to music (what is a psalter?), and hymns that you'll probably already recognize.
No Call-Outs
At Covenant Church worship services, you won't be called on to speak or to pray. You're not expected to know the Bible or to have memorized verses. Your mind and heart will have opportunity to focus on the worship.
Warm Fellowship After Worship
Forming deep friendships happens naturally when you share a close mutual friend already. Those in Covenant Church who are following Jesus — thereby growing closer to Him — are automatically developing relationships and friendships with fellow believers in the church as all move in one direction towards the Lord Jesus in faith.
