Covenant Church operates this website at https://covenantburbank.com. We've tried to keep this site simple and to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what we do collect, why, who else is involved, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect
Email list. If you subscribe to our updates, you give us the email address you enter. The list itself is hosted by Ghost at https://blog.covenantburbank.com. When you subscribe, the form simply opens Ghost's own signup page — your address is stored by Ghost, not by this site. Ghost also records whether you open or click our emails so we can see whether they're useful. See Ghost's privacy policy.
Messages you send us. If you email or call Pastor Brooks, we keep that correspondence so we can follow up and stay in touch.
Server logs. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare automatically records technical request data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies, so it loads only after you accept on the cookie banner — if you decline, it never runs. It records information such as your approximate location (from your IP address, which Google does not store in GA4), the pages you view, and the type of device and browser you use. We do not sell or share this information, and we don't use it to advertise to you. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We keep these to a minimum:
- Essential. We store your cookie choice (accept or decline) in your browser so we don't ask again on every page. This is necessary for the site to remember your preference and is not used to track you.
- Analytics (optional). If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site usage as described above. If you decline, none are set.
- Third-party. Some embedded content (see below) may set its own cookies when it loads.

- Google Maps & Google Calendar — embedded on our Schedule and contact pages to show our location and service times (Google privacy policy).
- Google Fonts — used for the site's typography.
- SermonAudio, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook — linked from our site for sermons and updates; visiting those links is governed by their policies.
How We Use Your Information
We use what you share only for the purposes you'd expect: to send the email updates you asked for, to reply when you reach out, to keep the site secure and working, and — if you allow it — to understand which pages are helpful. We never sell your information.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your email subscription until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We keep correspondence as long as needed to follow up with you. Server logs are retained by our host for a limited period for security purposes.
Your Choices & Rights
- Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of any of our emails.
- Manage cookies with or through your browser.
- Access or delete your data — email brooks@covenantburbank.com and we'll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.
- Do Not Track. Because we don't track you across other websites, there's nothing for a "Do Not Track" signal to turn off.
Children
Our site and email list are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the "Last Updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted clearly.
