Visiting
What time are your Sunday services?
We gather for worship every Sunday at 10:00 AM (Morning Worship) and 6:00 PM (Evening Worship), at 160 S Victory Blvd in Burbank. See the events page for everything happening through the week.
Where is Covenant Church located?
We meet at 160 S Victory Blvd, Burbank, CA 91502, near Downtown Burbank — with plenty of parking, indoor bike storage, and train and bus stops close by. Get directions →
What should I wear?
Come as you are. We're casual, and there are no expectations on dress. Here's what to expect on your first Sunday.
How long are the services?
Morning Worship runs about an hour and fifteen minutes (10:00–11:15 AM). Evening Worship runs about an hour, beginning at 6:00 PM.
Is there a nursery? Is Covenant Church child-friendly?
Yes — we love children! You're welcome to have your children stay with you in worship, or you're free to use our open-glass nursery within the worship area. A qualified, background-checked volunteer will assist you in the nursery, or you can stay with your child and take part in the worship service from there. For older children, we have a personalized children's bulletin to follow along during the service. We love welcoming the whole family.
I've never been to church — or a Reformed church. Will I feel out of place?
Not at all. You won't be called on to speak or pray, and you don't need to know the Bible or have anything memorized. Come as you are and simply join in.
Can I watch the service online?
Yes — we live-stream Morning and Evening Worship on our YouTube channel, and past sermons are archived there and on SermonAudio. Watch a service →
Worship & Beliefs
What is a Reformed church?
A Reformed church holds to the faith of the Protestant Reformation — that sinners are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone — as summarized in historic confessions like the Westminster Confession of Faith. Read what we believe →
What denomination is Covenant Church?
We are a mission work of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARP), a Reformed Presbyterian denomination with roots in Scottish Presbyterianism and the Reformation.
What is a Presbyterian church?
“Presbyterian” describes how a church is governed — led by a body of elders (from the Greek presbyteros, “elder”) rather than by one person, and joined to other congregations through a regional assembly called a Presbytery. Covenant Church is Presbyterian in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian (ARP) tradition — Reformed in theology and accountable to that wider Presbytery.
What is expository preaching?
Expository preaching means the minister draws the message out of the verses of Scripture themselves — verse by verse and book by book — so the sermon is shaped by the text rather than imposed on it.
Do you celebrate communion (the Lord's Supper)?
Yes. We celebrate the Lord's Supper in worship; on the last Sunday of each month it is held in the evening service.
Do you baptize?
Yes — we administer the sacrament of baptism. You can read Pastor Brooks's short primer, The Sacrament of Baptism.
Do you sing Psalms?
Yes — we sing Psalms from the Bible set to music, alongside hymns you'll likely recognize.
What is “Questions to the Minister & Answers”?
After most Sunday evening services, all are invited to stay and ask Pastor Brooks anything — about God, faith, the Bible, or the sermon — and he'll answer. See the schedule →

Is Covenant Church a new church?
Yes — we're a church plant, established in 2023 and putting down roots in Burbank. But our tradition runs deep: we belong to the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, a denomination that has been in the United States since 1782. Learn who we are →
